Flashmob in Moldova on the Founder's day

Regardless the weather conditions and the treadmill of the working days, scouts from Moldova celebrated on the February 22nd, the Thinking Day as a tribute to Sir Baden Powell and Lady Olave’s birth.

The dedication to the Founders of the World Scouting Movement was celebrated, here in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, in the central square. 50 scouts from all over the country attended the Flash Mob organized by the Rover’s Department. The main idea of this action was to sketch the symbol of scouting, lily, by holding hands and singing the national anthem of the National Scout Association of Moldova. This challenge was followed by the regular scouting games, activities, group photos as well as a cup of warm tea shared in a comfortable atmosphere, where Scouts had the chance to share the impressions about the event.

The Founders day wasn’t cheered only in the capital, but also in all subsidiaries at the local level, marked with debates, meditation and games.

The National Scout Association of Moldova preserves this tradition for almost 18 years, keeping solemnly the Scout Promise, as well as the Scouting Law: Scout once, Scout forever.
