The 26th APR Scout Jamboree was held in Mt. Makiling, Laguna, Philippines, hosted by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) with close to 14,000 participants from 25 countries namely, Australia, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Scouts of China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Macau, joined by Scouts from Canada, Sweden, United Kingdom, USA and Vietnam.

 

The 23rd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Conference held from 27th October to 1st November 2009, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia had 440 participants from Asia-Pacific, Africa, Arab, Interamerica, Europe, Eurasia and other organizations.

 

The 6th APR Scout Leaders Summit brought together 113 participants comprised of delegates from National Scout Organizations, the Regional Scout Committee, APR Sub-Committees and its consultants, World Scout Committee, World Scout Bureau staff and accompanying persons from 21 countries from 1st to 4th March 2009, in Kathmandu, Nepal and reviewed regional achievements and challenges as well and set regional directions in the next three years.

 

The 22nd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Conference was held from 18th to 23rd October 2007, in Tokyo, Japan. With 589 people attended, this regional conference sets the highest record of participation in the history of the Asia-Pacific Region as far as conference participation is concerned.

 

To highlight the Golden Anniversary of Scouting in the Asia-Pacific Region, 15 key projects were designed and created, one of these was the Peace Baton Relay which is created to raise public awareness on the importance of peace in the lives and future of today's young people.
