Let's meet Up North! 55 days till Roverway...
RoverWay is an event offered by WOSM and WAGGGS in Europe for Scouts and Guides. Roverway is held every three years and has been held two times before - in Portugal in 2003 and in Italy in 2006 - and it will be held in Iceland in 2009 and now it is your opportunity to participate!
RoverWay which will be held in Iceland in 2009 will be hosted by the Icelandic Boy and Girl Scout Association (Bandalag islenskra skata) and they will plan it and operate under guidance from WOSM and WAGGGS Europe.
RoverWay 2009 will start in Reykjavík with the opening ceremony in the morning of 20 July 20 and concludes at Ulfljotsvatn Scout Centre in the the morning of 28 July 28. The arrival day is on 19 July.
RoverWay is an opportunity for Scouts and Guides from all over Europe to get together and it aims at promoting a deeper knowledge among Scouts and Guides about different cultures and traditions. Even though this is a European Event, Roverway is open to Scouts and Guides from all over the world.
