Update from the GRTF (October 2007)
Many thanks to all those National Scout Organisations who have contacted us with their comments on the Governance Review. This is most helpful and we are encouraged by those who take this project seriously enough to give is their considered opinions. Rest assured that all the points made will be take fully into account.
Representatives of the Governance Review Task Force have been attending the Regional Conferences (which complete in November) and the comments made by delegations at the Conferences have also been most welcome. A progress report was made to the World Scout Committee in September and the next step is a full meeting of the Task Force in December, to prepare the report which will be considered by the World Scout Committee in March 2008. There will be a full report to the World Scout Conference in Korea in the summer of 2008. The work will no doubt continue after the next World Conference and the interest and support of National Scout Organisations will be essential.
