26th APR Scout Jamboree Organizing Committee meet
On 9th February the first Jamboree Organizing Committee meeting was held at the Mt. Makiling, Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines, the venue of the 26th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree in 2009.
Hosted by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), the meeting primarily focused on the over-all coordination and preparation of the regional jamboree that include confirmation of the Jamboree Host Working Committee; venue, theme, logo and mascot and discussion on the proposed educational objectives, infrastructure and campsite. Attended this one-day meeting were Regional Chairman Hon Jejomar C Binay, Regional Scout Committee member Prakorb Mukura, Programme Sub Committee Chairman Mr Alfian Amura, past Programme Sub Committee Chairman Ms Mari Nakano along with the concerned team both from the regional and BSP national office.
