Cambodia national jamboree preparatory meeting held

To ensure the success of the very first national Scout jamboree in Cambodia planned to take place sometime in December this year, the working team comprised of Programme Sub Committee members Mr Jose Eduardo Delgado, Dr Prapatpong Senarith and APR executive Syd Castillo met with the National Scout Association of Cambodian Scouts (NACS) leaders from 4th to 6th February and closely looked into the ground work for the preparation of the first ever national Scout Jamboree which is planned to hold near the Angkor Wat temples, a world heritage site.

Last year of November, the regional team headed by Regional Chairman Jejomar C Binay visited Cambodia and reviewed its accomplishments and suitability to become official member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement for which the association has been working on since the formation of one unified national Scout organization. As of last year, NACS membership is now more than 3,000 with almost equal number of boys and girls.
