Yemen Hosts the 17th Gathering for Arab Rovers
Under the motto "Arab Rovers … the Future of Arab Unity", Yemen welcomes 800 young people who participate in the Gathering which will be held through co-operation between the Arab Scout Regional Office and Yemen Scouts and Girl Guides Association. This prestigious youth assembly aims at enhancing Arab fraternity ties and looking forward to the second century of scouting with great ambition, extensive optimism and positive contribution to building better future for the Arab peoples.
In this vein, young people whose age range between 18-22 years old are invited to participate in the program of the Gathering which includes several workshops, sports activities, public services, picnics and entertainment evenings. The program also comprises visits to the national and Arab museum, Sana'a old city and the science and technology city in addition to the organization of the development village and the Arab day. Seminars on dialogue with youth, belonging and citizenship will be arranged during the Program.
Dr. Atif Abdelmageed, Arab Scout Regional Director, declares that H.H. President/ Aly Abdullah Saleh, will be honoured during the closing ceremony for his great interest and continuous support for the Scout Movement.
