Strategic Planning Kit distributed to NSOs - The Strategic Planning Kit has been distributed to NSOs and is available on the web-site as a pdf file (with internal navigation) or as a series of pdf files for the different sections.

  1. Table of contents , Introduction and the Strategy for Scouting (pdf, 540 kb) - this section includes information on the planning process for the Strategy for Scouting.
  2. The Strategy Planning Process (pdf, 330kb) - this section includes definitions of strategic planning terms, a flowchart of the strategic planning process, and support for obtaining commitment and managing resistance to change.
  3. Modular Workshop on Strategic Planning (pdf, 170kb) - this section contains 6 modules that can be completed over 4 days and takes people through the strategic planning process so that a strategic plan can be developed.
  4. Worksheets (pdf, 180kb) - this section contains 5 worksheets which support the modules on strategic planning.
  5. Handouts (pdf, 1.2mb) - this section contains background information in the form of handouts on 5 topics - The basic theory of strategic planning concepts, The visioning process (some methods), System tools, Evaluation models and Managing group discussions.
  6. There is also a PowerPoint presentation to support the kit (140kb).
