International Forum of Jewish Scouts
The International Forum of Jewish Scouts (IFJS) an autonomous body of Jewish Scouts, who belong to National Member Organisations of the WOSM. Its purpose is to provide an ideal place for dialogue, exchanges and proposals between Jewish Scouts from all over the world.
The objectives of IFJS:
- To develop and promote the spirit of brotherhood and understanding among Jewish Scouts, as well as between Jewish Scouts and Scouts of other faiths.
- To promote warm relations and co-operation between Scouting and Jewish communities.
- To develop an educational curriculum that should enhance the spiritual dimension in the personalities of young Jewish in accordance with the purpose, principles and method of the Scout Movement.
- To introduce Scouting in such states or areas where there is a Jewish youth.
- To co-ordinate the activities of "IFJS" with non-Scout Organisations having the same objectives.
- To motivate co-operation among "IFJS" members.
- To motivate and promote Scouting to Jewish boys and girls on a global basis.
IFJS' consultative status with WOSM is still pending.
