The 52nd Baden Powell Fellowship Event was held in the Napa Valley and San Francisco during September – over 250 Baden Powell Fellows and friends joined His Majesty the King of Sweden to celebrate Scouting’s first 100 years.
His Majesty Carl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden and Honorary President of the World Scout Foundation, presented His Majesty The King of Thailand with the World Scout Organization's highest award for his support and development of Scouting in Thailand.
His Majesty the King of Sweden, Honorary President of the World Scout Foundation, recently thanked His Majesty King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia for His Inspirational Leadership of a unique global programme involving Scouts the world over.
Dr Charlotte and Dr Eberhard von Koerber of Switzerland together with Mr and Mrs Sung Hak Baik of South Korea, are the latest global business leaders to join the World Scout Foundation's Regal Circle, with the announcement of the couples donating gifts of USD1 million each to the Foundation Endowment Fund, which helps support World Scouting.
His Majesty the King of Sweden, and Honorary President of the World Scout Foundation, receives the first Royal Birthday present from the past Chairman of the Foundation, Dr. Eberhard von Koerber.

His Majesty the King of Sweden celebrated his 50th year as a Scout in 2005. Next year he will celebrate his 60th birthday.
His dedication to Scouting in his role as Honorary President of the World Scout Foundation has helped raise an endowment valued at over 50 million Swiss Francs. The income from this fund helps the World Scout Organization in its work to bring better Scouting to more young people around the world.
The 47th World Baden-Powell Fellowship event took place in Denmark from 11th to 13th September. 240 Baden-Powell Fellows, 55 Olave Baden-Powell Society Members and guests participated in the challenging programme which raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Scouting and Guiding.
In April 2003 some 90 people attended the Baden-Powell World Fellowship event in the Cayman Islands. His Majesty the King of Sweden presented Fellowship insignia to 19 new members, 14 of whom were from the Cayman Islands. The event was one of the official 500th Anniversary celebrations of the Caymans. Many thanks to Antonio Hawkins, a Baden-Powell Fellow and Chairman of the Scouting Executive Council for the island, for arranging the 4-day programme.
A new programme for bequests has been launched by the World Scout Foundation. It is titled: The Founder's Heritage - a Living Legacy.
Some 230 Baden Powell Fellows and their friends gathered in New York City in October 2002 for events ranging from a royal gala dinner to fun at a Scout camp. His Majesty The King of Sweden, the Honorary President of the World Scout Foundation, and Her Majesty The Queen, participated in the events.
