European Scout Committee presents Annual Review

During a meeting of the European Scout Region at the 38th World Scout Conference in Jeju, Korea, the European Scout Committee took the opportunity to present its Annual Review covering the period from June 2007 to June 2008.

The Annual Review contains comments and thoughts from each member of the Committee including the Treasurer as well as the Chairman of the European Scout Foundation and Regional Director.

Committee members give a personal insight into the progress in implementing the Regional Scout Plan as well as the resolutions from the 19th European Scout Conference. In addition, the key responsibilities of committee members and the various meetings attended over the last twelve months are included.

The introduction of annual reviews was first suggested and discussed by the European Scout Committee in June 2007. It is hoped that the annual review will help to highlight how the European Scout Committee operates and the impact that its actions have on the development and growth of Scouting.

Importantly, the document highlights the good news that membership in Europe appears to be growing and is now back above 1.4 million.
