Management Training in Romania
Tailor-made training for the national leadership
Scout leadership in Romania is young and has problems in managing the Association. Recruitment for the national team ensured new generation of leaders, which needed knowledge and skills on management and team building. On their request, two members of the Management Training Team provided the training for the national leadership from 18 to 20 May 2007, in Bucharest.
Main accent of the training was on specificities of working on the national level, building the teams, planning future work and prioritising plans to get the best possible effect. All the sessions were organised so to have a concrete outcome, which may be used immediately after the training.
- The objectives of the training included:
- Understanding the "national" approach of all processes in the association
- Exploring their motivation to work in the national teams and to work together;
- "Designing" a way of working together (norms, communication etc.);
- Learning to attract, motivate and manage the members of each national team;
- Learning to plan and prioritize tasks (projects) - plus basics of project management
- Motivation and team building
Outcome of the training is a list of possible follow-up actions for future work.
