Theoretical Seminar of instruction of future Scout leaders
In the period between 9 and 11 December 2011, in the headquarters of the Moldova Scout in Chisinau took place the first activity in the framework of the project “Messengers of Peace”.
The first activity was a theoretical seminar that had the purpose to instruct 14 new scout leaders from communities where there are no scout groups. So they would come back with knowledge about how to monitor the activity of a scout group and they will start doing activities for and together with kids from their communities, with a special focus on children whose parents left abroad.
In these 3 days the participants of the training had the opportunity to get information from 5 trainers, members of the National Council, on: history of Scouting, Scout method, a scout leader’s abilities, children’s development from 7 to 10 and 10 to 14 years old, specific national and world scout activities, and fundraising. The first training is a component part of the Moldova scout project “Together in scouting, together for peace”, part of the global initiative “Messengers of Peace”, implemented with the help of the World Scout Foundation.
