Resources
In this section, we would like to offer you the opportunity to access our resources on the development of our volunteer base and on management of adults in Scouting. Our ultimate goal is to develop our capacity in this area, which is one of the key elements of any growth strategy. We believe that this exercise is also in line with the preparation of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the International Year of Volunteers.
The success of this celebration will depend on the involvement of many actors in our communities. We invite you to join various activities related to this event, or to initiate them as they will undoubtedly contribute to the achievement of our ultimate goal, which is to have committed and qualified volunteers who offer Scouting to more young people.
Therefore, do not hesitate to share with us any resource that seems relevant so that we can make it available to all National Scout Organizations and any other person or institution that values our contributions!
For Scouting to grow and develop it needs volunteers who have a wide range of skills and experience. Sometimes the vision of who can volunteer to support Scouting is too narrow, sometimes we are not clear what we expect from our volunteers and sometimes we are not aware what our volunteers expect from us.
How could you prepare your next Volunteer recruitment campaign? How could you reinforce your volunteer recognition and retention strategy? How could you renew your volunteer management approach?
If these questions are important for you as others issues, this toolkit is for you.
This document includes some key concepts, new factsheets and practical worksheets to support Volunteer in Scouting.
Looking into what the value of volunteering is and how we could measure it.
