The Duke of Kent and Prince William will take part in the opening ceremony of the 21st World Scout Jamboree at Hylands Park in Essex on Saturday 28 July 2007.
40,000 Scouts from over 160 countries around the world will attend the ceremony, which will officially start 12 days of celebrating 100 years since the Scouting was founded.
The Duke of Kent, who is President of The Scout Association, and Prince William will be taken on a tour of the site by Scouts attending the Jamboree, observing first hand how Scouting has evolved into the modern organisation it is today.
Hylands Park –27 de Julio de 2007 – Desde hoy y hasta el 8 de agosto, 40.000 scouts de más de 160 países de todo el mundo estarán acampados en Hylands Park, junto a la ciudad de Chelmsford, a unos 30 kmts al noeste de Londres. Durante los próximos 12 días participarán en el 21 Jamboree Scout Mundial en el que se celebrarán 100 años de Escultismo. Mañana, 28 de Julio tendrá lugar la ceremonia de inauguración con la visita del Príncipe Guillermo y del Duque de Kent.
El Príncipe Mohammad Bin Nawaf embajador de Arabia Saudita en el Reino Unido, ha visitado a la delegación de su país en el 21 ° Jamboree Scout Mundial en presencia de Dr Abdullah Al Obaid Minsitro de educación quien también es el Presidente de la Asociación Scout de Arabia Saudita y su diputado Dr Abdullah Alfahad. El Dr Abdullah Alfahad oficialmente inaguró la exhibición de la delegación y luego se reunió con los scouts.

Su Majestad, el Rey de Suecia , Carlos Gustavo XVI, a formado parte de la aventura en el 21° Jamboree Scout Mundial que se lleva a cabo en Hylands Park, Reino Unido.
1° de Agosto, Scouts de todo el mundo celebran el Amanecer del Centenario y el Atarecer del inicio del segundo.
Millones de scouts estan compartiendo sus Regalos de Paz con sus comunidades, demostrando como podemos trabajar para crear un mundo mejor.
El hombre de 96 años Milos Miovic es la persona de más edad que ha acampado en el 21° Jamboree Scout Mundial. El es de Eslovenia y este es el segundo Jamboree que disfruta.

Queridos jóvenes amigos,
Como Scout de todo el mundo participando en este Jamboree Scout Mundial, tienen mucho en común con las Nacione Unidas: son personas de diferentes culturas entrelazadas por la amistas y en busca de conocimiento, entendimiento y solución a problemas globales.
Si las Naciones Unidas es la organización internacional más universal del mundo, el escultismo ofrece un entrenamiento básico. Es la manera de prepararles a todos para responsabilizarse de la humanidad. Es un foro que reúne ideas, valores y culturas. Es una forma de abrir las mentes y prepararlos para vivir los retos actuales.
El programa diario e interactivo de discusión de la BBC “El mundo escucha lo que tienes que decir” arriva al jamboree este 3 de Agosto.
Transmitiendo a todo el mundo en el la estación mundial de radio, permitirá que jóvenes de todos los rincones del mundo preparen su agenda para ser productores y conductores del programa en vivo desde Chelmsford.
Hylands Park, Chelmsford, UK – August 3, 2007 – During 2 days, the former president of Poland, Lech Walesa, visited the World Scout Jamboree. Joined by members of the polish contingent, he toured around the site to see many of the Jamboree activities, to talk to Jamboree participants, to be honored by the European Scout Foundation and ultimately to share his thoughts on World Scouting with the secretary general of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement, Eduardo Missoni.

Arianna Corradi, viajó más de 1,200 km a caballo, procedente de Italia para llegar al 21° Jamboree Scout Mundial que se lleva a cabo en El Reino Unido.
Siguiendo un sueño de su infancia, Arianna, una Scout italiana de 29 años, dejó su ciudad natal, Susa (cerca de Torino, Italia), hace dos meses y se dirigió hacia el Jamboree. Acompañada por su mejor amigo, un caballo llamado Borbera, ha tenido una gran aventura para llegar al lugar de reunión donde más de 40, 000 jóvenes scouts de todo el mundo se encuentran celebrando el Centenario del Escultismo.
In June 2007 Alcoa Foundation and the World Organization of the Scout Movement decided to launch a joint programme promoting sustainability awareness. It will be initially rolled out in five European countries and will be funded by a two-year $205,000 grant from the Alcoa Foundation. The 21st World Scout Jamboree in Southern England, taking place until 8th of August, is a good opportunity to start to involve young people in the programme. Alcoa Foundation has supported a series of workshops based in the “Global Development Village”, where the Jamboree participants, aged from 14 to 17, reflected on issues and challenges facing the global community.
7th August 2007, Chelmsford, UK- Tonight, 12 adventurous days after the Duke of Kent and Prince William opened the 21st World Scout Jamboree at Hylands Park in Essex, 40,000 Scouts will watch the sun set on the closing ceremony before beginning their journeys home to almost every country in the world where they will be able to share their experiences with friends, family and fellow Scouts.
