The Executive Directors of the World Scout Bureau – the six Regional Directors and the two Executive Directors in the Central Office – under the leadership of the Chief Operating Officer and the Secretary General of the World Scout Bureau Central Office, had their biannual meeting in Cartigny, Switzerland from 7 to 11 May 2012. The Executive Directors’ Meeting is a key occasion for the top management of WOSM to meet, discuss and plan their actions for the coming months. It is important to have this chance to get together at least twice a year to address the key issues.

The first Messengers of Peace Network training started yesterday in Singapore with an informal dinner hosted by The Singapore Scout Association. This morning an opening ceremony was held to welcome the 60 participants from 35 countries who will be trained over the next three days. The goal of the training is to create online community leaders for the Messengers of Peace Network. The participants of this training will form part of a nucleus of community leaders who will help kick start the momentum for the MoP Global Network.

Con la presencia de más de 100 participantes en la Casa Scout de Paraguay, comienza la aplicación del Estatuto Social recientemente modificado dónde resalta la representatividad juvenil y de los padres y madres de los scouts con voz y voto en las Asambleas Nacionales.

La Asociación de Scouts de Venezuela fue anfitriona de la Segunda Reunión de la Subregión Andina de la Red de Programa de Jóvenes. Durante los días 27 a 29 de abril de 2012, representantes de las Organizaciones Scouts Nacionales de Colombia, Ecuador y la anfitriona Venezuela, trabajaron junto con el Director de Programa de Jóvenes de la Oficina Scout Mundial – Región Interamericana en el análisis de temas de vital importancia para el desarrollo del Programa de Jóvenes de la Región.

Se desarrolló en el marco de la Reunión de Métodos Educativos de la Subregión Centroamericana.
