23rd APR Scout Conference

The 23rd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Conference held from 27th October to 1st November 2009, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia had 440 participants from Asia-Pacific, Africa, Arab, Interamerica, Europe, Eurasia and other organizations.
ELECTION
Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee Chairman Jejomar C. Binay was re-elected in his position. Dr. Mohammed Mukhyuddin (Malaysia) and Prakorb Mukura (Thailand) were elected as Vice-Chairmen and five new members were elected to a six-year term from 2009 to 2015. They were Azrul Azwar (Indonesia), Chao Shou Po (Scouts of China), Sang Ho Shim (Korea), Shree Ram Lamichhanne (Nepal) and Nicholas Tang (Singapore). Continuing their mandate in the Regional Scout Committee for the remaining three years are Syed Pervez Ali Shah Jillani (Pakistan) and M Fazlur Rahman (Bangladesh).
