Under the motto "Arab Rovers … the Future of Arab Unity", Yemen welcomes 800 young people who participate in the Gathering which will be held through co-operation between the Arab Scout Regional Office and Yemen Scouts and Girl Guides Association. This prestigious youth assembly aims at enhancing Arab fraternity ties and looking forward to the second century of scouting with great ambition, extensive optimism and positive contribution to building better future for the Arab peoples.

Through co-operation between the Arab Scout Regional Office and Yemen Scouts and Girl Guides Association the 11th International Youth Gathering for Cultural Exchange will be held outside Egypt for the first time. The Gathering which will be organized under the motto "Scent of Old History" will give youth worldwide the opportunity to discover the heritage of the Arab nation.

يسر المنظمة الكشفية العربية أن تعلن للشباب الكشفى العربى عن عملية سايكدونج التى خصصت لدعم الشباب المتميزين من الجمعيات فئة أ، ب، ج للمشاركة فى الندوة العالمية العاشرة للشباب فى الفترة من 1-10/7/2008،التى تنظم فى إطار تعاون بين جمعية الكشافة الكورية وجامعة Wonkwang والهيئات الرسمية بجزيرة (جيجو).

إن الحركة الكشفية منذ بدايتها وهي تسعى لتحقيق أعلى معدلات التنمية الشخصية التي بالفعل لم تحققها أنشطة تربوية غير رسمية كثيرة سواها, وهذه التنمية تشمل جميع جوانب التنمية الشخصية سواء كانت روحية أو عقلية أو بدنية أو اجتماعية كما جاء في نص هدف الحركة الكشفية.

In line with the launch of the tree plantation campaign, two hundred scouts representing all the associations composing the Scout Federation of Lebanon participated in the "Phoenix" project for the re-greening of Lebanon through planting one million trees.
