5th Regional Communications Forum, held in Pretoria, South Africa.
Between the 1st and 3rd May 2007, the 5th Regional Communications Forum brought together over 30 participants from 14 National Scout Organizations (NSOs), from the English speaking Africa Region.
The event that was described as an eye opener and a great success by participants, was held at the South Africa Scout Association's Tshwane Scout Centre.
The forum targeted PR Commissioners and Media Managers. It aimed at helping them become better spokespersons for their NSOs by acquiring relevant media skills.
In a lively and highly participatory ambience, participants were enlightened on the new Scout brand, PR techniques and on how to develop efficient communication strategies.
Sessions were facilitated by Richard Amalvy, Director, Branding, Communications and Media (WSB); and Euloge Ishimwe, Unit Manager, Communications (WSB/ARO).
The event was coordinated by Winston Adams, Director, Operations Centre, Cape Town (WSB), in conjunction with Yvonne Collins, Manager, Tshwane Scout Centre.
