Scouts de France and União dos Escoteiros do Brasil work in partnership and use the Scout Method to support young people in the favelas - Scouts in France and Brazil are working in partnership to improve the lives of young people in the favelas in Brazil. Of 32 million children under the age of 10, around 20 million are living on the streets of which around half spend their entire lives on the streets. The project in Fortaleza, in the northeast of Brazil, focuses on working with children and mothers to improve child health and set up Scout groups to help young people stay off the streets.
