How Adults Learn?
This document is addressed to trainers, adult resource managers and leaders in general. The material discusses principles of how adults learn and what methods can be used to improve learning of adults in Scouting. The document presents some theoretical knowledge that can support trainer's theories and practices which they use in adults trainings. It can be of use when starting the Training System renewal or any time one designs a training opportunity.
Nowadays, when people can experience education throughout their lives, it is important to discuss the education not only of young people, but of adults too. And more particularly, the education of adults in Scouting.
To explore this issue, the Adult Resources Core Group has produced a Euro.Scout.Doc entitled 'How Adults Learn' which aims to show that there are different ways of learning and training and offer a new way of thinking, especially if the Training System is not working so well.
