During the evening, local Scouts and Guides were presented with certificates of appreciation.

Botswana fundraiser a big success!

Botswana Scout Association in collaboration with Botswana Girl Guides held a fund raising dinner-dance for the Centenary celebrations on Saturday 3rd March 2007, and during this event former Scouts and Guides were given certificates of appreciation by the Deputy Permanent Secretary - Ministry of Youth Sports & Culture. The fundraiser was a big success, with the attendence of 132 people.

The funds generated from the dinner dance will be used to print Centenary celebration materials, i.e. banners, t-shirts, cups, badges, calendars etc, and part of the money will be used to feed the Scouts during the celebrations.

Because most of the Botswana Scouts are school based, The Association will be holding their main celebrations from the 13-18 August 2007, during the holidays. Their Sunrise will be held on the 14th August, and on the 18th they will host a big gala event in a local stadium.
