The2nd International Seminar on Scouting and Child Labour & Street Children Phenomena
Under the patronage of H.E Mrs. / A'esha Abdel Hadi, Minister of Labour Force & Migration, the Arab Scout Regional Office will organize the 2nd International Seminar on Scouting and Child Labour & Street Children Phenomena for promoting the role of Scouting in improving living conditions of working children and their families and getting aware about the issue of Child Labour at local, national and international levels. In addition, the Seminar aims at analyzing the various forms of child labor and homeless children phenomena and realizing the outcomes of such analysis. This would enable us using the Scout Method for supporting these children and improving their hard conditions.
This Seminar will address the real effects of child labour issue at local, national and international levels, the lessons learned from the efforts of the Scout Movement for eliminating child labour phenomenon, the comprehensive program for child protection ( the project of improving living conditions of working children in Alexandria ).This is in addition to some other topics mainly, the role of Karitas Centre at caring for working children, the general framework for the Arab Strategy for protecting the children ,the protection rights of the children and the efforts of the governmental institutions for eliminating the child labour phenomenon, the experiment of the International Labour Organization , the World Food Program ,the experiment of the rehabilitation program of the working children, and future national plans for fighting both phenomena. All Arab Scout Organizations will participate in this prestigious Event.
