L’Association des Scouts du Canada et la société Mer et Monde signent un important partenariat visant à développer, soutenir et administrer le programme Scouts du monde.

 

Scouts of the World Award programme took flight officially at the start of 2006, along with the rise of Rovering in Singapore. It had since then been incorporated into the Rover Progress Scheme, along which coincides with the part of the criteria for Singapore's National Youth Achievement Award.

 

The castle of Jambville (Training Centre of the “Scouts et Guides de France”) hosted the launching of the Scouts of the World Award in France on October 20-21, an initiative that aims to prepare young adults for world citizenship. Every year, the Scouts and Guides of France support hundreds of international solidarity projects, which now have the opportunity to be part of the Award. Opened to Scouts and non-Scouts from 15 to 26 years, the Scouts of the World Award includes three principal themes which aim to improve living conditions on our planet: Environment, Development and Peace.

 

World Scout Bureau organized for the first time the Scouts of the World Workshop on 28-31 May 2007 at the Vajiravudh Scout Camp in Thailand. The aim of the workshop is to share with National Scout Organizations the technical process of developing the Scouts of the World programme as a way of revitalizing the Senior and Rover sections for 15 to 26 year-old members. Countries represented were Bhutan, Republic of China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand for a total of 42 participants.

 

Our natural environment is very important for the youth of the world as it is intricately linked with the health and opportunities we have for the future. There are many ways in which individual citizens and groups of people are working towards an environmentally sound future and we want to hear your story.

 

On Saturday 14 of October, in the classroom of the Soochow University of Taipei, Taiwan, was held the “SW Discovery” of “Water Conservation Project”.

 

On Sunday 22 of October, in the playground of the Dong-Men Primary School of Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C., was held “the 49th JOTA and 10th JOTI”.

 

During the days 14, 15 and 16 of October, in Unquillo, Córdoba; the Camp was developed for denominated Rovers EcoMoot 2006 - “Getting dirty, playing cleanly”. This was an initiative of the Scout Group “Tinku Huairaspa" that counted with the support of the Area 22 – Scouts of Argentina.

 

On Saturday 02 of September, in the great classroom of the Faculty of Architecture of the National University of Cordoba - Argentina, was carried out the launching of the Scouts of the World Award.
