Big Success in New York
Some 230 Baden Powell Fellows and their friends gathered in New York City in October 2002 for events ranging from a royal gala dinner to fun at a Scout camp. His Majesty The King of Sweden, the Honorary President of the World Scout Foundation, and Her Majesty The Queen, participated in the events.
His Majesty welcomed 48 new members of the Baden Powell Fellowship - a record! - and recognized 24 new or upgraded members of the Honors Programme. With the contributions from these individuals, US$1.2 million was raised for the Foundation's endowment fund.
