Regional Committee

The European Scout Committee consists of six members elected by the European Scout Conference which meets every three years. The European Scout Committee meets three times a year. In addition there are other meetings to support the Region.

The functions of the European Scout Committee are:
* To exercise such functions as are provided for in the constitution.
* To put into effect the resolutions of the conference and to fulfil any duty that the conference may assign to it.
* To act as an advisory body to the World Committee.
* To act as an advisory body for member organisations requiring advice and assistance.

It is our great pleasure to introduce this Annual Report of the European Scout Committee’s work covering the period July 2010 to July 2011.

In the report, you can have a look back at the progress made since the 20th European Scout Conference in Brussels, Belgium, covering both the successes and challenges. As well as providing perspectives from the European Scout Committee, the European Regional Office and the European Scout Foundation, for the first time in the Annual Report of the European Scout Committee we have updates from our five Working Groups and three Core Groups.

 

It is a pleasure to introduce this Annual Review of the European Scout Committee‟s work covering the period July 2009 to July 2010. In the report, we look back at our last year, from the perspective of the European Scout Committee, the European Regional Office and the European Scout Foundation.

 

The European Committee has just published its Annual Review for the year July 2008 till July 2009. This is the second such report which reflects the achievements made and the challenges faced.

 

During a meeting of the European Scout Region at the 38th World Scout Conference in Jeju, Korea, the European Scout Committee took the opportunity to present its Annual Review covering the period from June 2007 to June 2008.
