Scouts of Benin: "Join us in creating a better Africa!''

PORTO-NOVO - The capital city of Benin, hosted, on Saturday March 13, 2010, the biggest Scout gathering in the country to celebrate Africa Scout Day. This event brought together over 1,500 Scouts.

The celebration was marked by several activities such as a caravan through the city, games and entertainment, a photo exhibition on Scouting, and a presentation on health matters, etc.

The official opening ceremony held at the Centre Chrétien d’Accueil et de Formation, Porto Novo, was attended Mr. Lamine Diawara, Director of the Dakar Operational Centre of the World Scout Bureau, who was on a mission in Benin. Also in attendance was the Chief Commissioner of Benin Scouts, members of the National Team and Area Commissioners.

In other cities such as Cotonou, Parakou, Natitingou, Lokossa, Grand Popo and Bohicon, Scouts were also mobilized to celebrate this day.
