There are seven main religious groups represented in the World Scout Interreligious Forum. Three of them hold Consultative Status. With the World Organisation of the Scout Movement. The other four groups were created informally and they are working to obtain their WOSM Consultative Status soon.

Members:

• International Catholic Conference of Scouting (ICCS)
• International Link of Orthodox Christian Scouts (DESMOS)
• International Union of Muslim Scouts (IUMS)
• International Forum of Jewish Scouts (IFJS)
• Won-Buddhism Scout
• World Buddhist Scout Brotherhood (WBSB)

In addition to the work these groups are doing individually for each faith group in the world, they have worked with WOSM:

• Organising and running the interreligious activities during the world Scout events (Jamborees and Moots).
• Organising the 1st World Scouting Interreligious Symposium in Valencia in 2003 and the 2nd symposium in Taiwan in 2006.
• Meeting annually to coordinate their work. The first meeting was in Geneva in 1997 and the last meeting was in Cairo in December 2004.
• Contributing to the World Scout Interreligious and Spiritual documents, for example “Scouting and Spiritual Development” and “Explorers of the Invisible” for Scouts at the Jamboree.

At the last annual meeting in Cairo, key points on the agenda were:

• Reports from each faith group
• The follow up of the 1st World Scout Interreligious Symposium 2003 in Valencia.
• The evaluation of the interreligious activities at the previous world Scout events (the Jamboree in Thailand 2003 and the Moot in Taiwan 2004).
• Preparation for the interreligious programme at the 21st World Scout Jamboree in the United Kingdom in 2007. In this session, they also coordinated the interreligious activities for EuroJam, the European Scout Jamboree in the United Kingdom in July-August 2005.
• Preparations for the 2nd World Scout Interreligious Symposium 2006 in Taiwan.

These groups are making valuable contribution to strengthening the quality of spirituality in Scouting and working for peace and global understanding.
