Videoconference with Scouts of Nicaragua

On August 1 the National Strategic Team of the Scouts de Nicaragua held a virtual meeting with the Adults in Scouting Director of the World Scout Bureau-Interamerican Region in order to get acquainted with the new regional process in front of the revision they are making of their own processes. During the session the key elements of the policy and the adult management system deriving from it were explained. It was a very interesting and nice discussion, specially focused on the good practices in order to restructure the adult management systems in our Region and, of course, in their own National Scout Organization. Several questions from the participants gave the direction of the whole session, particularly about: Recruitment, Performance and Retention within the competency approach, and its implications. Also how to deal with young adults in the Rover Unit acting as Leaders in the Lower Age Sections, with regard to the Adults in Scouting policy.Scouts of Nicaragua welcomed this opportunity to analyze the changes introduced by the new Regional Policy and the participants expressed their satisfaction about the session. Jorge Katin, Chairman of the National Board, extended his gratitude on behalf of all participants, stating that the reflections are useful and provocative for their own process.
