WE WANT REPRESENTATIVES FOR ACWAY #ScoutIAR

ACWAY, A Common Word Among the Youth is a Global initiative that will bring together people from multitude of backgrounds to increase understanding of different cultures and faiths, promote tolerance and coexistence, develop skills, to help local communities and deliver shares solutions in the form of local action.

The Programme will consist of:
1. Selection and training of 100 young people from around the world representing the world´s major religions to become advocates of coexistence and religious harmony.
2. Two international conferences to provide opportunities for the Young people to network and present their projects and activities to the international community.
3. Grass-root activities delivered by the Young people on co-existence and inter-faith relations.
4. An online social media platform for the Young people to interact and showcase their projects and activities.

WOSM joined ACWAY as a partner, as well as other organizations such as: Georgetown University, The Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute, KAICIID and Right Start Foundation International.
That is why we are seeking for some candidates to participate, which meet the following requirements:
13- Age between 18-35 (by 1st January)
14- Regard oneself as being a follower/believer of one of the following religions: Buddhism, Hinduism or Judaism.
15- Desire for promoting religious and cultural harmony
16- Experience in community activism and/or interreligious related activities.
17- Evidenced commitment to effecting positive change.
18- Leadership ability
19- Ability to generate and articulate impactful ideas
20- Ability to work as part of a team with people from different backgrounds and religions
21- Very good command of English language
22- Prepare to travel abroad
23- Prepare to commit time to the Project (12 months approximately)
24- Happy to be included in photos and filming that could be used in social media as well as TV and print media.

The program is all-expenses that include several training courses, two international conferences, civic activities, a TV documentary and the opportunity to be part of a unique global network of young people.
The candidate should be presented by the NSO, with the e-mail form before June 17th 2015 and emailing the form to: interamerica@scout.org.
No applications that do not come by the respective National authorities of the NSO (International or National Scout Chief Commissioner) will be received.
