Roverway
Roverway is an educational event for and by young people aiming:
- To provide meaningful, active and fun experiences that can contribute to one’s personal development
- To promote intercultural learning and exchange
- To encourage the sharing of experiences and good practices relating to Rover/Ranger programmes as a
- contribution to strengthening the programme for the older age sections
- To promote partnerships throughout Europe
- To explore development trends on Youth and other relevant issues in Europe and the World
- To provide an active learning experience of European citizenship
- To enable meaningful Youth Leadership experiences.
Roverway is the major European event for young people aged 16-22 and has proved a great success in its first six editions: “People in Motion”, Portugal 2003; “Dare to Share”, Italy 2006; “Open Up”, Iceland 2009; “See, Feel, Follow”, Finland 2012; “On the road”, France 2016; and “Opposites Attract”, Netherlands 2018.
Roverway 2024 will take place in Norway f. The theme for the jamboree is “North of the Ordinary”. Welcome to Norway!
The event is divided into two parts. During the first days, the participants will gather up in small groups and get the opportunity to explore a self-chosen path. The paths will run throughout Southern Norway and end in a joint jamboree in the Stavanger area.
